The board is easiest when you treat each move as a setup: the candies that fall after a clear can be just as important as the original match.
Start with the objective
Before moving, identify what the board is asking you to accomplish. A large score, a specific color, and a blocked area call for different decisions. A match far from the objective may still help if it changes the lower board and creates a cascade, but repeated off-target moves spend opportunity without solving the puzzle.
Work low to create motion
Matches near the bottom pull more pieces through the board and produce more chances for accidental combinations. Scan from the bottom upward before taking an obvious match at the top. When two moves are equal, choose the one that shifts the most columns or opens a blocked region.
Combine special effects carefully
Longer lines and intersecting matches can create stronger pieces. Do not activate them at the first legal moment if one extra move can align them with the objective or another special. At the same time, avoid over-saving: a useful effect trapped by the changing board has no value. Plan one setup move, then convert it.
